Fungi and Indian Pipes Abound

With the recent rains and warm spell that we have recently had here in West Michigan there has been an explosion of colorful fungi and Indian Pipe. If you have time this Labor Day weekend head out to a woods near you and see what you can find. While in the Yankee Springs Recreation Area yesterday I saw many mushrooms, coral type fungi and many fresh Indian Pipes. While I have no new photos to share on the subject today I would encourage you to get out and enjoy the bounty springing forth.
